Yoga for Healing Teacher Training is the second phase of the Accessible Yoga Teacher Training program, offered in alternate years.
Yoga for Healing is designed to train Yoga teachers how to work with people with disabilities, chronic illness, injuries and the elderly. The emphasis is on modified yoga practice as well as Yoga philosophy. This combination will allow teachers to design specialty classes for specific populations and to learn how to present the teachings outside of the traditional yoga class setting.
Skills will include the ability to lead modified asanas, breathing practices, guided relaxation, imagery, meditation, as well as public speaking, leading workshops, group discussions, and more.
Graduates will receive 170 hours toward Yoga Alliance 500-hour registration.
