"Easeful, Peaceful, and Useful."

Teacher Training Program
Our Teacher Training program has been training teachers and changing lives for over twenty-five years. In fact, Integral Yoga was a founding member of the Yoga Alliance (the national organization of Yoga teachers), and our Level 1 Teacher Training program easily fulfills the requirements for certification at the Yoga Alliance 200-hour level
.

This program and the accompanying Integral Yoga Teacher’s Manual have been used successfully by thousands of teachers around the world. In San Francisco, we are lucky to have a gifted and experienced staff that has taught this training for years.

We also offer advanced training for yoga teachers to deepen their understanding of Yoga and their teaching skills. The hours from these advanced trainings can be used toward registration with Yoga Alliance as an advanced teacher at the 500-hour level. In fact, the San Francisco Integral Yoga Institute now has approval from Yoga Alliance to certify teachers at this advanced level.

Integral Yoga Hatha
Integral Yoga Hatha, created by Sri Swami Satchidananda, is a dynamic progression of postures, deep relaxation, breathing practices, and meditation, leading to a profound experience of peace and well-being.

The Integral Yoga system of Hatha Yoga is utilized, along with other lifestyle changes, by Dr. Dean Ornish in his book Dr. Dean Ornish's Program for Reversing Heart Disease.

Hatha 1 Teacher Training
Our Hatha 1 Teacher Training emphasizes a balance between practical skill-building and spiritual growth. With this balance, our graduates have both the experience and the techniques needed to be gifted and well-prepared teachers.

This respected program has been developed and refined during 25 years of training yoga teachers. The purpose of the program is beyond making you a Yoga teacher. The program is an excellent foundation for an extensive knowledge of Yoga. Complete instruction in how to teach Integral Yoga Hatha Beginners class is the basis of the program. This includes:

• Hatha Yoga postures
• Pranayama (breathing practices)
• Meditation and deep relaxation.

Considerable attention is given to many other aspects of Yoga so that all graduates have both a practical and philosophical understanding of the full scope of its teachings and practices. Subjects include:

• Anatomy and physiology
• Yogic diet and nutrition
• Raja Yoga (psychology and philosophy)
• Karma Yoga (selfless service)
• Bhakti Yoga (devotion)
• Jnana Yoga (self analysis)

Finally, teacher trainees will refine and deepen their personal practices of asanas, pranayama and meditation.
